I found that one of the most iconic images on the Waikiki beach was a multitude surf board rental shops and individuals hustling anyone interested for a potential ride on the waves. The typical rental rates run around $20 per hour. I am sure with individual entrepreneurs will cut a better deal.

The waves are gentle, fun, and provide nice long rides. The sizes usually are in the few foot range and really meant for beginners or someone looking to get out and have some fun.
