Description
The Camellia Sasanqua prefers a sunny, sheltered position. Usually one of the later autumn or early winter flowering camellias to bloom, with anemone to paeony-form. The flowers are more delicate than those of Camellia japonica though somewhat shorter lived. Upright, vigorous and slightly open habit. White, scented, anemone-form flowers produced profusely in October/November.
I captured this image in the Dallas Arboretum, Dallas, Texas with a Nikon camera and lens. In addition to a acrylic painterly overlay and texture has been added to the image.
