Fire and ice roses take their name from their fiery and frosty appearance. The blooms are red on the inside and white on the outside. They can be used to symbolize the heat of passion. Folklore calls them vampire roses, and that term references the white of innocence versus the red of blood.
The fire and ice rose is the hybrid of other types of roses, and it was created especially for florists.
